Jeffrey Fisher, PhD
Lecturer
Bio
I am a lecturer in philosophy. My published work focuses on the late Platonic dialogues (particularly, the Philebus and Statesman), and Aristotle’s ethics. Outside of ancient philosophy, I am interested in (the history of) ethics, and (the history of) political philosophy. Recently, I have been working on how the Aristotelian political tradition developed over time (particularly in the works of Aquinas, and then in the 19th and 20th centuries in works by figures such as Luigi Taparelli and Pope Leo XIII).
