Our department houses one of the largest philosophy faculties in the United States, representing a distinctively pluralistic approach to philosophy. We offer a particularly broad selection of in-depth courses at the undergraduate and graduate level that reflect our wide range of specializations and commitment to multiplicity.

LEAVS Talk: Dr. Jay Carlson

The Loyola Ethics and Values Symposia warmly welcomes Loyola alum Dr. Jay Carlson from Lake Forest College. On Friday, November 22 Dr. Carlson will give a talk titled "Organizational Virtue Ethics and Moral Distress Among Healthcare Workers." The event will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm in Cuneo Hall, Room 318. This event is free to attend and all are welcome. We hope to see you there!

Philosophy Colloquium: Dr. Anton Ford

Please join us for a Philosophy Colloquium on Thursday, November 14! We are delighted to welcome Dr. Anton Ford from the University of Chicago, who will give a talk entitled "The Question What To Do". This event will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in Cuneo 311. It is free to attend, and all are welcome to join.
