Our Lab
Dr. Haden and her team are broadly interested in questions about how storytelling can support children’s learning and remembering. Much of the work takes place in informal learning environments, including museums and families’ home, as well as community centers. Please visit the research projects page for more information about all our projects including our new project, recently funded by the National Science Foundation entitled, “From Stories to Solutions: Engaging Latine Families as Design Partners to Advance Equitable Informal Engineering Learning Opportunities for Young Children.” This project is a collaboration with Chicago Children’s Museum and Palenque LSNA and will involve Latine families with 5- to 8-year-old children as design partners to create engineering learning activities for community and museum settings and ultimately, advance equity in engineering education in out-of-school settings.
Come join us! Our lab provides graduate and undergraduate opportunities. If you're interested in our PhD in Developmental Psychology please visit the department page. We also have publications and resources relevant to our research areas listed on our site.
