Feminist Forum

The Feminist Forum was founded in 1995 through the Women’s Studies and Gender Studies Program at Loyola University Chicago. The Feminist Forum was founded in order to provide a supportive, safe, and open environment to discuss women and women’s issues. A pro-active organization, the Feminist Forum seeks to bring speakers and hold events to raise awareness of the challenges in many women’s lives such as sexual violence, HIV and AIDS, discrimination, sexual harassment and awareness of systems of patriarchy.

Rainbow Connection
Rainbow Connection has been set up to serve the Loyola Community by creating a safe and comfortable environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and straight ally students, faculty, administration and staff. The organization will work to educate the Loyola community and beyond on issues pertaining to LGBTQA peoples and acts for the rights and equalities of all. As the official LGBTQA organization, Rainbow Connection is a resource to the University and all of its parts and strives to fulfill the call for cura personalis directed under the Ignatian charism.

CHANGE
CHANGE is a sponsored student organization in collaboration with the Wellness Center. CHANGE's mission is to create inclusive and critical spaces to challenge norms, further prevention, and empower survivors of gender-based violence.

Women of Color Leadership & Rites of Passage Program (LUCES)
The LUCES Womxn of Color Program is a multigenerational community of women that actively work towards solidarity, leadership, and community wellness at Loyola University Chicago. As a multi-generational network, we respect the varied experiences of the members of our community and learn from each other’s wisdom and insight, reaffirm the power of global sisterhood, and work toward individual and social awareness, transformation, and action.

Latin American Student Organization
The Latin American Student Organization at Loyola University Chicago strives to create an inclusive Latinx community among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners who personally identify with or who aspire to learn more about Latin American culture and heritage regardless of race, sex, gender identity, religion, ethnic background, socio-economic class, and sexual orientation. Our organization seeks to provide its members with opportunities for personal and professional growth powered by a strong core with the purpose of embracing the uniqueness of cultural identity, social justice, and the advancement in education of each individual.
