Academic Advising
The Office of Academic Advising & Support Services provides academic guidance and services for undergraduate Loyolans. Students are assigned a primary Academic Advisor and a Faculty Advisor in their major department or program during their first year at Loyola and throughout their academic careers.
Career Services
Students can make phone or zoom appointments with career advisors and explore internship and employment opportunities on Handshake. Students looking to expand their networks can check in to LUConnect to meet Loyola alumni. In order to ensure a great first impression with employers, Resume and cover letter guides are available online for reference. For important tips on job searches, interviewing and correspondence, students can refer to Career Services’ instructional videos.
The Financial Aid Office
Loyola University Chicago is dedicated to making your college education affordable by offering multiple types of aid. Not only do we offer our own scholarships and grants, but we also participate in federal (Title IV) and state programs. In general, scholarships and grants are considered "gift aid" and do not need to be repaid, while loans are borrowed and must be repaid. The Office of Registration and Records
The Office of Registration and Records exists to serve the needs of the students, to respond to requests of the faculty and administration for data, and to safeguard the integrity of the students' education record. The office also serves external audiences such as employers seeking degree verification and alumni who request copies of their transcripts, degree verifications, and course descriptions.
The Student Accessibility Center
Students experiencing access issues in online classes due to their disability can register with the Student Accessibility Center (SAC) online. SAC students who are experiencing access issues in online classes due to their disability can schedule an appointment with their specialist through Accommodate to identify new accommodations or support. There are a variety of accessibility resources for faculty on the SAC website. Additionally, faculty can view their students’ accommodations in the courses tab in Accommodate.
The Tutoring Center
Supplemental instruction is being moved online. Students wishing to participate in supplemental instruction can access their session with the coordinating Zoom link on the Tutoring Center website. Drop-in peer tutoring will also be available over Zoom for modern languages and philosophy and can also be found on the Tutoring Center website. Peer tutoring and Success Coaching appointments can be arranged over TutorTrac.
