Halas Recreation Center
The George Halas Jr. Recreation Center, built in 1985, is a 71,000 square-foot indoor recreational facility, which features the following amenities:

Multi-Purpose Gymnasium featuring 2 high school basketball courts and 1 collegiate basketball court

35 foot, 3 lane rock wall with 13 foot bouldering wall

25 yard, 8 lane pool

1 Spinning Room featuring 17 M3 Keiser Spin Bikes

Core Stretching Room

3800 square feet of Cardio Space including a variety of LifeFitness, Cybex, PreCor, and Woodway equipment

4000+ square feet of Group Exercise Space

6500 square feet of Strength and Fitness space including TKO Free Weights and LifeFitness, Cybex, and Hammer Strength equipment

Men's and Women's Locker Rooms each featuring saunas
Halas Recreation Center Pool
8 lane, 25 yard pool that reaches a depth of 7 feet and will allow for both lap swim and space for free swim. Kickboards, pull-buoys, and aqua jogging belts are provided for members’ use. The Halas Pool can be accessed through the locker rooms or the hallway by the family changing room. The Halas Pool can be reserved by internal groups by accessing 25Live. External groups wishing to reserve the Halas Recreation Center Pool can contact Megan Morris for more information.
The Rock Wall
Located in the lower level of the Halas Recreation Center, the wall is comprised of 3 lane, 35 foot wall along with a 13 foot bouldering wall. The Rock Wall is open during designated posted hours for all Halas members and their guests and is possible to be reserved for special events. All equipment needed is provided. There is no age limit for climbers, but there is a weight requirement. Climbers must be able to fit into one of the provided harnesses snuggly. All climbers must go through an orientation and sign a waiver before climbing or bouldering. Climbers under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver before participation. The Rock Wall can be reserved by internal groups by accessing 25Live. External groups wishing to reserve the Halas Rock Wall can contact Megan Morris for more information.
Sean Earl Field
The Sean Earle Field Turf, located just to the east of Mertz Residence Hall and flanking the Norville Center for Intercollegiate Athletics, features the following amenities:

West Quad
The West Quad will be open for use in Spring 2015. The space will be a multi-use space, serving as a grass play area for the use by the Loyola University Chicago community, as well as an event space for approved reservations. The quad is located directly in front of the Damen Student Center. If no reservations, the field will remain open to the public for general use
Winthrop Avenue Play Lot
The Winthrop Avenue Play Lot is located to the south of the Simpson Multi-Purpose Room on Winthrop Avenue. The lot is a grass field that is available for reservation. The lot houses 2 portable volleyball courts. Equipment can be checked out from the Halas Recreation Center Reception Desk. Hoyne Field
Hoyne Field is the home facility for the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams as well as the NCAA Softball team. The space boasts a FieldTurf synthetic field and is located 1 mile west of campus on Devon Avenue and Hoyne Avenue. Parking is free of charge in the Loyola University Chicago parking lot. Reservation requests are approved by the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. All reservation inquiries can be sent to Dawn Collins or 773-508-3802.
