None - available to M3 and M4 students.

Special Note: Urology can accommodate a total of 5 students at any one time for all rotations. If there is a conflict, then preference is given to students planning Urology as a potential career and selecting UROL-401 (Urology Sub-Internship).
Description: This elective is designed to be an immersive experience that will introduce the student to a wide spectrum of urologic problems facing our Veteran population. Students will participate in all aspects of the urologic care of our Veterans: outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and operating room. Students will be exposed to open and minimally invasive/ Robotic oncologic surgery. Students will attend our Urology Educational Conferences and will work under the direct supervision of the chief resident and VA Urology faculty. The course will emphasis education regarding the unique urologic problems that our Veterans face. The student will have the opportunity to give a presentation on a topic of their choice at the end of the rotation.
Method of Evaluation: Evaluation will be on the basis of the student's overall participation on the service and graded on a PASS/FAIL only basis.
