Years at Loyola: Almost 16 years!

What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola? The people! Working at Loyola has given me some lifelong friends and I’m forever grateful for that. And I’m in constant awe of the students who challenge us all to make Loyola the best it can be.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee? A few things come to mind but nothing stands out more than getting an email, card, etc. from a student or family member of theirs sharing how I positively impacted their experience at Loyola. There really is no greater gift to receive or reminder of my “why”.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you? This goes back to the community being one of my favorites things about Loyola. We (students, staff and faculty) all have chosen Loyola for a reason and I think for many of us that reason was/is the mission. The mission drives the work that I do day in and day out and how I show up for students.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day? I take a lot of pride in the work that I do and the relationships that I have built with colleagues throughout the years. Those combined motivate me to show up every single day and do my very best.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride: I love Loyola and being a Rambler fan! A couple of us in the department have been basketball season ticket holders for years. I had the opportunity to chaperone the Final Four student bus trip to San Antonio! An experience that I will never forget and so thankful to have been a part of! If traveling 20+ hours (each way) in a bus doesn’t show my pride, I’m not sure what does. J Joking aside, I am very proud to be a Rambler fan!

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you: I always love this question and have my favorite go to answer- I have been permanently banned from the Masters (the golf tournament). It sounds more scandalous than it is! I had tickets to the final round and a friend tried to sell them, which I guess isn’t permitted!
