About

Minwoo Jung is an assistant professor of Sociology and Women’s Studies and Gender Studies at Loyola University Chicago. His scholarship focuses on questions of culture, power, and agency from a global and transnational perspective, with an emphasis on political activism and everyday life. His work has appeared in British Journal of Sociology, Current Sociology, Sociological Theory, and The Sociological Review, among others, and has received awards from the American Sociological Association, International Sociological Association, American Political Science Association, Society for the Study of Social Problems, and the British Journal of Sociology. He is currently a member of the editorial boards of The Sociological Quarterly and The Sociological Review.
