Lilly Sabolay Student Worker |
Lilly is a third-year undergraduate student studying both Neuroscience and Psychology. She is from Southern Illinois, near St. Louis, MO, and she took part in volunteering frequently in her hometown. So, when she heard about Saturday of Service, she decided it would be the perfect opportunity to enter the volunteering community at Loyola. Thus began her involvement in CSA her freshman year, as a member of Loyola4Chicago. Having gained so much fulfillment volunteering, she decided to apply for leadership in Loyola4Chicago her sophomore year to become a bigger part of the club and volunteering that she loves. The summer before her junior year, she was presented with the honor to travel to the annual National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference (NJSLC) in Cleveland, Ohio, where she gave a workshop to other student leaders about best practices in service communities. The CSA student worker position opened yet another opportunity for Lilly to support the organization, learn the ins and outs of CSA, and gain a new level of appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work that allows volunteers to go and make a difference within the community.
