Cindy Hahn

After graduating high school, Cindy attended Loyola only to withdraw due to life circumstances. The flexibility and online structure of SCPS seemed like a natural fit, aligning with her aspirations and allowing her to return to Loyola as a student.

As a survivor of a traumatic incident leading to PTSD, SCPS coursework assisted her in processing and managing the associated emotions. Discovering the Student Accessibility Center was a pivotal step, enabling her to learn about necessary accommodations, including how to manage workload and coursework. 

"Being introduced to the Student Accessibility Center was pivotal for me. I remember feeling relieved knowing a team existed and was dedicated to aiding students. Getting in contact with them was really helpful in learning about different accommodations."

Reflecting on the highlights of her SCPS experience, Cindy fondly recalls specific courses such as an English poetry course, which aided in her healing process by providing an avenue to explore her trauma and find insight. Beyond academics, the ambassador role at SCPS holds great significance for her. Being able to mentor and support fellow students aligns with her desire to offer guidance and support, drawing from her own journey.

Cindy currently works at an engineering firm in the accounting department while nurturing aspirations of entrepreneurship. She values the courses on civic identity for the perspectives they offer regarding potential future career shifts. As an ambassador, her ultimate goal is to use her story to help others and be a source of guidance for those in need. As she navigates her career path, Cindy aims to remain open to opportunities and continue using her experiences to positively impact and support others in their academic and personal journeys.
