Internships
Paralegal students at the Water Tower Campus may complete an internship for an elective course in their last or second-to-last session of study. Internships provide on-the-job experience in practical paralegal skills. Student interns also develop self-confidence and establish contacts in the legal community.
Students work 120 hours at the internship site, usually about 15 hours a week for the 8-week session. Loyola paralegal internships are unpaid. Students receive 2 hours of academic credit, and the current tuition rate applies.
Students apply for internships by meeting with the Director, who contacts potential internship hosts. Further details are provided in the registration instructions for upcoming sessions.
Legal Employers: If you are interested in hosting a paralegal intern, please request an information packet from the Institute office (paralegal@luc.edu or 312.915.6820).
The School of Continuing and Professional Studies has developed adult degree programs that respond to the needs of today’s students and employers. Apply now or contact us for more information about Loyola’s paralegal training programs.
