Scheduled APRs

Approximately one-fifth of the eligible academic units (college, school, institute, department, divisions) and their distinct curricular programs (core, undergraduate majors and minors, certificate, post baccalaureate, graduate) will begin conducting their Academic Program Review in fall 2018.  These units will be named by the Provost in consultation with the Council of Deans, OIE and faculty leaders.

For 2018-2019, the units undergoing Academic Program Review will be posted here (when available)

The schedule for units’ review will be set after discussion with Deans, chairs and the Provost’s Office. The academic units tentatively scheduled for Academic Program Review (APR) in future years are listed here (when available).  The timeline on which various programs receive external accreditation and state licensure review has been an important context to consider in setting the review schedule in order to leverage the maximize utility for the study findings both as formative for internal strategic planning and as supportive of accreditation requirements. In addition the accreditation schedule for Loyola’s review by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) also informs APR planning. While program review that includes high quality assessment of student learning is a required element of the HLC accreditation process, the primary utility of program review is internal to Loyola.
