Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs (Clinical Assistant Professor or higher)

The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for an Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs. This is a non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant’s program of scholarship and teaching experience. This is a 50% administrative and 50% teaching/scholarship/service position with 9-month faculty teaching responsibilities and a 12-month administrative contract.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives, the Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs collaborates with the Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and DNP and MSN track directors to promote graduate student learning, professional role preparation, curriculum integrity, and inclusive excellence for the DNP, MSN, and certificate programs.

Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Chemistry and Microbiology (two vacancies)

The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for two clinical track faculty positions focused on teaching, curricular development, and integration of foundational sciences, with expertise to teach chemistry and microbiology. These are 9-month non-tenure track open rank positions for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant’s education, program of scholarship, and teaching experience.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty members will:

  • Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs as appropriate to expertise and program needs; these positions will have primary responsibilities in the undergraduate nursing program chemistry and microbiology courses
  • Employ a variety of teaching/learning strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings
  • Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation
  • Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education
  • Engage in service activities consistent with the mission and strategic vision of the MNSON, university, and nursing profession
  • Contribute to the MNSON and university’s goals for inclusive excellence and antiracism

Director of Women’s Health/Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner Track of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (Clinical Assistant Professor or higher)

The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position focused on oversight of the Women’s Health/Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner (WHGRNP) Track of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. This is a non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant’s program of scholarship and teaching experience. This is a 20% administrative and 80% teaching/scholarship/service position with 9-month faculty teaching responsibilities and a 12-month administrative contract.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives, the Director of the WHGRNP Track collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs to promote graduate student learning, professional role preparation and development, curriculum quality and integrity, and inclusive excellence for the WHGRNP Track within the DNP program.

Instructor/Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Simulation Pedagogy

The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position focused on teaching, curricular development, and integration of simulation pedagogy. This is a 12-month non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the instructor rank or higher based on the applicant’s education, program of scholarship, and teaching experience.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty member will:

  • Use high, medium, and low-fidelity simulation modalities to provide high-quality learning experiences to pre-licensure and advanced practice nursing students. Primary responsibilities include developing, organizing, facilitating, and evaluating simulation learning experiences and programs
  • Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation
  • Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education
  • Engage in service activities consistent with the mission and strategic vision of the MNSON, university, and nursing profession
  • Contribute to the MNSON and university’s goals for inclusive excellence and antiracism

Tenure Track/Tenure Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites exceptional and promising nurse researchers to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher. We are dedicated to advancing nursing science to promote health equity through research focused on optimizing multilevel health outcomes of individuals, families, and communities, improving the quality of healthcare and systems, and better understanding the human experience and mechanisms underlying health.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON’s mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty members will:

  • Develop and maintain a program of research that includes research dissemination in peer-reviewed journals and extramural research funding
  • Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
  • Participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to MNSON, university, community, and professional committees and other activities through academic service
