Internship
Offered every semester, including summer terms
The Medieval Studies interdisciplinary internship is an opportunity to design and develop a project related to Loyola’s medieval garden and labyrinth. Past projects have included research and related blogs on medieval monastic gardens, classical Roman gardens and their later influence, garden structures or “hardscape”, and the history of labyrinths. Potential projects might include creating a medieval gardens website, proposing and organizing a Labyrinth Restoration Project, organizing and hosting garden or labyrinth events, building garden structures.
Medieval Studies students interested in pursuing an internship relating to the Medieval Gardens should consult with Dr. Gross-Diaz and, with her approval, apply for the HIST 398 Undergraduate Internship. Interns work a minimum of 5 hours per week (75 hours in the term) in a position jointly agreed upon between the student and the Department of History's Internship Coordinator.
