Mycal Ford

About
Mycal Ford is a risk and compliance professional at Mckinsey a global consulting firm where he advises on sanctions compliance. Previously, Ford worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), where he led and supported various jurisdiction-specific sanctions investigations. Ford also worked at the Department of Defense, the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, Sayari Labs, and the Center for Advanced Defense Studies. Ford was previously selected as a 2021 Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Fellow by the Center for a New American Security. In 2018, Mycal was named as one among several Black American National Security Next Generation Leaders by New America. Ford earned a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies and Political Science from Pacific Lutheran University. During his studies, he received the Department of Defense David L. Boren Fellowship (China) and both the Critical Language Scholarship (China) and Fulbright (Taiwan). He lives together with his wife and two doodles in Washington, DC.
