Gradescope

Gradescope BannerGradescope is a digital assessment tool for math and sciences that enables faculty to flexibly administer assignments and exams across multiple modalities. Using Gradescope can save time with assessment while promoting consistent grading with streamlined rubric creation and AI-assisted feedback. Student work is scanned, graded, and returned to students for review while providing instructors with analytic data on assessment questions and rubric statistics to improve assessment design and identify areas for expanded instruction.

Gradescope integrates with the Sakai Lessons and Gradebook tools. Faculty use Lessons to provide students links to Gradescope assessments, and they have the option of pushing scores back to the Sakai Gradebook. Depending on instructor preference and assessment type, students may scan and upload their own work using the Gradescope mobile application, or faculty may scan and upload student work (e.g., collected from in-person paper exams).
