Financial Aid Office

Student Responsibilities

As a Loyola University Chicago student, you are expected to take responsibility for your receipt of financial assistance. We expect you to:

Update your local and permanent address

The Financial Aid Office sends mail to your local address while classes are in session, and uses your permanent address during winter and summer breaks. Whenever changes occur, please update your local and permanent address through LOCUS.

Check your Loyola e-mail account

We frequently send information, requests or updates to your Loyola e-mail account. Be sure to regularly check your Loyola e-mail account or arrange to have messages forwarded to the e-mail program you prefer to use.

Respond as quickly as possible

The Financial Aid Office may request additional information from you to confirm information provided on the FAFSA. It is very important that you provide the information as quickly as you can. Remember that aid programs have deadlines. Delays in returning materials or requested information can cause delays in processing and disbursement, and possibly loss of eligibility.

Maintain eligibility

Students must meet certain requirements in order to receive and continue receiving aid. In general, students must ensure that their FAFSA is accurate, meet certain GPA and completion standards, and remain enrolled. For more information about these regulations, please review the pages below:
