Office Side Lite and Window Coverings
Side lites and windows within office doors and wall assemblies are an important and intentional component of office construction. This visibility allows for first responders to an emergency to have a view into an office to quickly assess if an occupant needs assistance. It is also necessary for the safety of occupants in private offices to always maintain visibility into their offices when guests are present. As such, it is important to keep these windows free of obstruction. Any permanent or temporary fixtures that block windows or side lites will be removed by Facilities, and requests to block windows will be denied.
We understand that nursing mothers require privacy and will work to accommodate such requests on a temporary basis. Please refer to the list and map of lactation and personal wellness rooms that are available for nursing mothers across all three of our campuses. If further accommodations are needed, please submit a work ticket and your request will be reviewed.
