Transfer Students
Current Loyola students and external students may apply for transfer into the BS Engineering program. A critical component for success is that a student wishing to transfer be calculus-ready.
We define calculus-ready as one of the following
- Completion of MATH 161
- A score of 4 or 5 on the AP Calculus AB or Calculus BC exam
- An ACT MATH subscore of at least 28
- A valid ALEKS score of at least 75
- If you are currently a Loyola freshman with a GPA of at least 3.0 and calculus-ready, please contact Chair Dr. Gail Baura (gbaura@luc.edu) for more information. Please realize that it will take four more years to complete the BS Engineering degree.
- If you are interested in transferring from another institution to Loyola, we require that you have completed courses equivalent to the freshman year of our curriculum. More information can be found at LUC.edu/undergrad/apply/transfer/transferrequirements/
