Partnering with Loyola's Dual Credit Program
We’re glad you are considering a Dual Credit partnership with Loyola. We want to help make the dual credit collaboration as smooth as possible. Please write to us at dualcredit@luc.edu; we can answer questions, share the dual credit application and other resources, and/or set up a time to meet to explore your options. Below are a few resources that may be helpful as you plan to offer dual credit courses.
What dual credit courses are currently available? Here is a list of courses presently offered; send us an email if you don't see the course you are interested in on the list.
What does the application process look like? We are happy to meet with you to discuss the application process. All dual credit instructors must have at least a Master's degree in the teaching area; some departments may allow for a master's degree in any location, with 18 graduate hours in the teaching area. The application is completed by the teacher interested in teaching a dual credit course. You can preview the application components here.
Loyola’s Memorandum of Understanding for a Dual Credit Partnership clearly outlines the roles and responsibilities of our two institutions. Admission criteria typically include teacher qualifications, curricular sequence, curricular rigor, and student selection process. You can download a SAMPLE copy of Loyola's Dual Credit MOU.
