2024 Denkewalter Lecture

The 2024 Denkewalter Lecturer will be Prof. Charles T. Campbell, from The Department of Chemistry at The University of Washington.   Prof. Campbell was the recipient of the 2024 ACS Somorjai Award for Creative Research in Catalysis

Topic: "Thermodynamics and Kinetics of elementary reaction steps on late transition metal catalysts"
I will review experimental and theoretical results from my own group concerning the thermodynamics and kinetics of chemical reactions of importance in catalysis and electrocatalysis on late transition metal surfaces.
Date: Thursday, 24 October 2024
Time: 5:00pm
Location: FH - 133

The Reception & Poster Session

A poster presentation and reception is to take place prior to the Denkewalter Lecture, in the foyer outside Flanner Auditorium at 4:00 PM. During the event, Loyola Graduate students will have an opportunity to share information regarding the Chemistry research they have conducted in their respective labs groups.  Pizes will be awarded for posted judeged to be exceptional.
