The Undergraduate Research and Engagement Symposium features presentations on undergraduate research and community engagement projects supported by LUROP fellowships, external programs, academic courses, service-learning experiences, internships, or community partnerships. The symposium engages the diverse ways undergraduate students advance Loyola’s Jesuit mission of “expanding knowledge in service to humanity through learning, justice, and faith.

Submit Presentations
Undergraduate students were welcomed to present research or community engagement projects to the public through the use of poster presentations, oral presentations, and learning portfolios.
The symposium will be held on April 5th, 2025.

evaluation
We invite faculty, staff, graduate students and community partners to evaluate student presentations to provide constructive and positive feedback. Providing students with meaningful feedback greatly enhances their learning and achievement.
It is our goal to provide each student with positive, learner-centered feedback from two different evaluators. If you’d like to serve as an evaluator, please click here to register by April 7th.
Awards
Each year at the Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium, we recognize outstanding undergraduate scholarship in research and community engagement and the faculty and graduate mentors and community partners who support and facilitate undergraduate learning during the academic year.
