My area of expertise is in Cancer Biology.  I worked as a Research Assistant Professor in academia during which time I studied cell-cell adhesion, cell signaling, and glycosylation.  After over twenty years as a research scientist, I took a full-time teaching position here at Loyola University.  I have the great pleasure of teaching Cell Biology (BIOL251) and Cell Biology Lab (BIOL252).  I am currently the Lab Coordinator for the BIOL252 course.
