Chief Talent Officer, Thresholds
Chris serves as the Chief Talent Officer of Thresholds, which is a non-profit leader in the mental health industry, with 1,200+ employees. Thresholds provides services to more than 3,000 people in Illinois. Thresholds has been recognized as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for nine consecutive years, and as a “Chicago Best and Brightest Company to Work For” seven times.
Chris provides strategic and operational leadership for all Talent/HR functions, and co-chairs the Thresholds Talent Board Committee.
Chris’ passion for IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity & accessibility to advance social justice) is embedded in how she leads and helps individuals and organizations succeed in achieving their goals. She has partnered with her team to develop DEI programs for the Board and senior leadership, to create Thresholds’ formal DEI strategic plan with 10 key pillars, to improve inclusive hiring practices and business/supplier diversity, to ensure that Talent policies and benefit offerings are reviewed with a “DEI lens,” and to enhance internal awareness/motivational communications to all staff about cultural achievements, histories, and heritage celebrations.
Chris serves on the Advisory Council for HR Source, which is a non-profit consulting firm servicing 1,000+ member companies in the Chicagoland area. She is an active member of the national Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Chicago chapter of SHRM. She serves as a mentor with the Chicago SHRM Mentoring program and on the Education Committee.
She co-chairs the Talent/Human Resources Leadership Committee of CACE (Chicago Alliance for Collaborative Effort), which is a coalition of 40+ human services organizations. She is a member of Chief, which is a global private network supporting women executive leaders.
Chris has more than 20 years of Talent experience as a leader with nonprofit, corporate, and consulting organizations. Chris is a certified Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC), and a Certified Talent Consultant (CTC). Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside.
She also completed an Executive Education program at Loyola University. She and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, cooking, and providing a loving home for rescue dogs with special needs.
