Kamaria Morris

Kamaria is a native of the southside of Chicago, and a proud product of Chicago Public Schools. She fostered her love for writing, producing, and popular culture at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. She attended graduate school at Northern Illinois University and completed a master’s program in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. She is currently the Assistant Director of Communications and Public Relations at Erikson Institute, a graduate school and policy hub specializing in early childhood education. Prior to that, she worked in the marketing departments at Lyric Opera of Chicago and WCIU, The U-TV. She is a social media enthusiast who loves the arts, social movements, coming up with creative concepts, baking, and volunteering.
