Director of Executive Appointments, Office of Governor JB Pritzker
Natalie Pine serves as the Director of Executive Appointments in the Office of Governor JB Pritzker. In this role, she leads the appointment process, from identifying qualified candidates, to presentation to the Governor, and finally, through appointment and confirmation by the Senate.
Natalie is a skilled communicator and relationship builder, endeavoring to create an environment that cultivates and celebrates curiosity and innovation. She enjoys the challenges and rewards of diving into complex problems and thinking creatively and strategically to find solutions driven by both the demands of the tasks at hand and the larger vision and personal development of the team.
Natalie began her professional career as a James H. Dunn Memorial Fellow in the Governor’s Office, then serving as a Personnel Associate, and Manager of Executive Appointments. She also had the opportunity to serve as a Specialist with the Regional Leader Support team at Rotary International, gaining invaluable experience and exposure to the concepts of project management.
Originally from smalltown Indiana, Natalie is a Hoosier at heart. She aspires to work in a role that allows her to be a part of the work that uplifts and celebrates the strength of rural communities. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys quiet mornings tucked into the reading chair with a new book and coffee, falling in love with small towns across rural America and traversing hiking trails across the Midwest.
She is a proud Rambler, holding a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Social Work.
