Kath Sain
Practice Assistant, Geode Health
Kath is a Practice Assistant at Geode Health, a Chicago-based mental health startup that combines full-spectrum psychiatry and talk therapy to better meet changing patient needs. In her role, she supports patients and providers through operational excellence. From a young age, Kath has been dedicated to the mental healthcare industry and is passionate about improving care, access, and affordability while building her skills in administration and operations.
She moved to Chicago in 2020 and immediately engaged with the local communities in the housing, healthcare, and non-profit sectors. Kath began that journey with Heartland Alliance’s residential program, where she worked to enhance the care and resources for the program's participants. It was her time with Heartland that fueled her passion for working in the mental health space and led her to explore educational opportunities to better equip her to take on an administrative role.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the College of Wooster. Her senior capstone project focused on connecting mental health and political interest group involvement via a quantitative analysis.
She has a passion for organizational behavior, human resources with a focus in DE&I, and supportive and effective leadership. She is eager to begin her Baumhart Scholars MBA to expand her skillset to drive social impact on a larger scale.
